The author explains that the existence of a “body of communicators” linking the spiritual Lodges throughout the vastness of the Cosmos naturally led the disciples to wonder whether there might be methods of communication beyond the creation of a mayavirupa, whether individual or collective. This question lingered in their meditations for a long time, until one day they decided to ask the Master directly, since no teaching in the Ashram had ever addressed other possible means of communication besides the adept’s expert manipulation of ether.
The Master’s response, as always, brought clarity. He explained that the methods of communication with the Cosmos are many and varied, depending on whether the communicators travel alone or in groups. The creation of subtle vehicles for movement through the ether belongs to the category of communications known as “mayavirupic.” The importance of the mission, the distance to be crossed, the quality of the aura surrounding a sun or planet, and the evolutionary status of its governing Logos all determine the conditions required of the visitors—whether they are ambassadors, envoys, or members of an Ashram traveling for study to another planet within the system.
A mayavirupa is only necessary when the journey takes place outside the ring‑pass‑not of a planet like Earth. But when the destination lies in another solar system within the cosmic system to which our universe belongs, the beings involved often use what humanity calls “space vehicles.” The Master noted that the Great Fraternity rarely speaks of these vehicles, because many disciples, carried away by romantic imagination, would forget their true work within their Ashrams. Yet such mechanisms do exist in Shamballa, where they are used to maintain planetary equilibrium and to watch over nations that possess highly sophisticated and dangerous weapons—atomic devices, hydrogen bombs, and other instruments of destruction that could, through human folly, unleash a nuclear catastrophe.
These vehicles are built from metals whose secret alloys are known only to Initiates. They can travel immense distances and withstand the harshest stellar conditions with complete safety. Some can reach velocities approaching the speed of light when communication is required between solar systems or between cosmic systems. But within a cosmic system, where the Logoi are of unimaginable evolution, communication occurs through methods so rapid that they transcend the human concept of space‑time. The great planetary and solar hierarchies describe these methods as “instantaneity in time,” meaning that only space exists, and time—at least as humans understand it—disappears. In such conditions, light has no velocity; it simply is, and space reveals its secrets beyond any temporal measure.
The Master acknowledged that such ideas would be difficult for scientists to accept, even those who have embraced Einstein’s relativity. They will eventually discover that relativity is only a partial truth, a doorway to deeper cosmic realities. Great Initiates of Earth can perform this within the boundaries of our world, and the solar and cosmic hierarchies use the same method to establish immediate contact with other systems. The coming of the Lords of the Flame from Venus and the Solar Angels from the constellation that forms the mental body of the Cosmic Logos was accomplished through a method of communication defined as “instantaneity in time.” They arrived in a fifth dimension of space, moving with such velocity that time vanished and only space remained. Any nation that attempts to attack another using destructive methods that threaten the planet’s life will learn the lesson of destruction through Fire. Its social structures will collapse, and its vital complexes will be annihilated.
This warning, the Master said, has been impressed telepathically upon the minds of political and military leaders by disciples and Initiates of the First Ray, who guide their thoughts toward responsibility and restraint.
