In Chapter VI, Vicente Beltrán-Anglada introduces a cornerstone of the New Era: the "human-Deva fraternity." He explains that, by order of the Lord of the World (Sanat Kumara), the spiritual distance between humans and angels is being closed. This collaboration is not an isolated curiosity but part of a cosmic program woven into the spiritual evolution of the planet. One of the Lord of the World’s great dispositions for the New Era is the gradual establishment of increasingly intimate and conscious contact between Ashramic disciples and the planetary devas traditionally known as Guardian Angels. As disciples become more refined and receptive, they are trained to perceive and participate in the subtle activities of these luminous beings within the planetary ethers.

The author emphasizes that what he is about to describe is deeply personal—his own experiences in the art of deva contact, an art that proves difficult for many. His Ashram, governed by the second Ray of Love‑Wisdom, approaches this training through the intensification of the heart’s fire. The love that burns within the disciple becomes a light perceptible to the devas, drawing them near and making them responsive to invocation. This education in deva contact forms part of a larger solar process known esoterically as the spiritual approximation of the two great streams of life—the human and the deva. These two currents are the most important in the evolution of the fourth Round. Other streams, such as the atomic life‑wave, reached their peak in the previous solar system and now function automatically, responding instinctively to the growing activity of angels and humans. Still other life‑waves evolve internally and will only become objectively perceptible in the fifth Round.

The Masters of the Ashrams dictate the specific techniques required for this training, but the fundamental stages are always the same: first, the recognition of the devas; second, conscious contact with them; and third, the unification of human and deva auras. These three steps form the backbone of the human‑deva unification program. Since the time of human individualization, vast hosts of Venusian devas have assisted humanity, guiding the awakening of self‑consciousness and later the conscious contact with the Higher Self. These stages mark the human journey through the ages and prepare the disciple for entry into the initiatory current.

It is therefore no accident that the Lord of Shamballa has decreed that the time has come for humans and the Venusian devas—now fully adapted to the planetary aura as Guardians of Humanity—to establish increasingly effective, intelligent, and stable unions. From this union, slowly emerging from the depths of humanity, a new and unknown light will be born. Transformed into a sacred flame, this light will preside over the social order of Aquarius, illuminating the future of the race.
